We are now looking for a design engineer for Kanthal's PU Hallstahammar, Heating Systems. Kanthal is a world-leading brand for products and services in industrial heating technology and high-temperature alloys. In creative collaborations with customers, we design innovative solutions, focusing on sustainability and minimal environmental impact. Our advanced technology, combined with our competent employees, gives us the opportunity to participate in some of the world's largest and most exciting projects for electric heating across a wide spectrum of industries. We are strengthening our initiative in product development to meet the increasing demand in the transition from fossil-based to electric heat treatment processes.

Location: Hallstahammar.

Your Role:

As a design engineer, you will have a central and important role in designing and adapting new heating solutions for our customers based on business needs and strategy. You will be part of the entire development process, from idea to finished product. The role is broad, varied, and suits you who thrive in a combination of technology, development, collaboration, and creative solutions.

Responsibilities include:

• Being a key player in translating customer needs into solutions with a focus on quality and profitability.
• Collaborating with our sales organization on technical and commercial issues for Heating Systems products manufactured in Hallstahammar.
• Designing everything from heating elements to complete heating systems with element construction, power calculations, mechanical design, as well as electrical connections and controls.
• Contributing to ensuring our world-leading position in the product area.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with an engineering degree in a relevant field such as mechanical or electrical engineering. Experience with 3D design and/or programming is a plus. Since we work in Sweden with an international organization, it is important that you can communicate both orally and in writing in Swedish and English.

We greatly appreciate engagement, curiosity, drive, and a willingness to learn. You need to be a communicative person who enjoys collaborating with others and is good at prioritizing and structuring your work. As we place great importance on your personal qualities, the position can be adapted to your prior knowledge.
